Questions
About Coastline, the Scope Planner and the tools on this site.
Does the app give a price?
No. It collects the scope Coastline needs to prepare an estimate. Prices come from Coastline.
Is the capacity check a load calculation?
No. It is a screening of the metered method the NEC allows for existing services: 125% of the measured peak plus the new load, against the service rating. The electrician doing the work makes the calculation the code asks for.
Which states does Coastline work in?
Its website names Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Connecticut and Massachusetts.
When can I reach Coastline?
The website lists Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, closed on the weekend. A brief can be emailed at any time.
Does anything leave the phone?
Only a brief you email, share or copy yourself. The app has no account and no internet access.
Can I keep several projects?
Yes. Each project is saved on its own; duplicate one to start a similar site.
Is the Scope Planner a price quote?
No. It collects the scope. Coastline prepares any estimate.
Which code does Massachusetts use now?
The Massachusetts Electrical Code, 527 CMR 12.00, based on the 2026 NEC, for installations whose permit was granted after 24 April 2026.
Do the tools on this site keep what I type?
No. They work in your browser and keep nothing when you leave the page.
Have a commercial project coming up?
Call (508) 262-6496 or email sales@coastlinees.com, Monday to Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Or put the scope together first with the Scope Planner.
